VIP Speech helps you learn and practice public speaking. We collect the account details you give us, your progress in the app, and the practice recordings you choose to have reviewed or shared. Your recordings stay on your device unless you ask for an AI review or share them. We show no ads and we do not sell your personal information. You can delete your account and data at any time, right in the app.
This Privacy Policy explains how Global Speaking Group LLC ("VIP Speech", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the VIP Speech mobile app and this website (together, the "Service"). If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.

The app shows no ads and contains no advertising SDK, so we collect no advertising identifiers. We do not use analytics for advertising, and we do not sell analytics data. Analytics exist so we can fix problems and improve the lessons.
Where the law requires a legal basis (for example, in the UK, EU, and similar regions), we rely on performing our contract with you (running the app), your consent (for optional features), and our legitimate interests (keeping the Service safe and improving it).
This is the most important section, so we want to be clear.
In other words, "kept on your device" describes how recordings are stored by default. Asking for an AI review or sharing a recording necessarily sends that recording off your device to the providers above. We never upload a recording without an action you take.
On the paid Google Gemini API — the tier VIP Speech uses — Google does not use the recordings or other content you send to train or improve its models. Your recording is processed only to generate your feedback, and the uploaded file is deleted from Google's systems as soon as the analysis is complete (and in any case auto-expires within about 48 hours as a backstop). AI-review recordings are never stored in our own video storage. Separately, when you share a recording, the copy kept in our video storage (Cloudflare R2) so friends can play it back is served only through short-lived signed links, is never publicly accessible, and is stored for up to 90 days — or until you stop sharing or replace it in the app, whichever comes first — after which the video file is deleted automatically. The social feedback a shared clip received (such as hearts and cheers) is retained with your account even after the video itself is deleted.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising of any kind. We use the following service providers ("subprocessors") to run the Service. Each only receives the data needed for its function:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public. If our business is ever transferred, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
VIP Speech is for adults aged 18 and older. Because the app analyzes video recordings of you with AI, we do not offer it to minors. The app asks for your date of birth and does not let anyone under 18 create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us information, contact us at support@vipspeech.com and we will delete it.
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Recordings stored on your device remain until you delete them in the app or uninstall it. AI coaching results (scores and written feedback) stay in your account until you delete your account. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information — your profile, progress, social activity, and AI results — except where we must keep certain records to meet legal or accounting obligations.
Specifically for videos: recordings you share are stored in our video storage (Cloudflare R2) for up to 90 days, or until you stop sharing or replace them in the app, whichever comes first; stopping a share removes the stored file right away. The social feedback a shared clip received (such as hearts and cheers) is retained with your account even after the video itself is deleted. When you delete your account, your stored videos are removed immediately, along with the records that allow anyone to view them. Recordings submitted for an AI review or daily-challenge score are sent only to Google's Gemini API and deleted as soon as the analysis is complete (auto-expiring within about 48 hours at the latest).
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR in the UK and EU, the CCPA/CPRA in California, or the PDPA in Singapore), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent.
You can exercise these rights by emailing support@vipspeech.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly in the app: go to Profile and tap "Delete account". You can also email us at support@vipspeech.com to make a request. For step-by-step instructions, see our account deletion page.
We and our providers may process and store information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where we transfer information out of the UK, EU, or other regions with transfer rules, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls that limit each user's data to that user. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
